CINTIMA invites filmmakers to submit bold, artistic, and evocative short films exploring the depth, complexity, and artistry of intimacy.
Submit via FilmFreeway for all categories.
The prompt is Intimacy.
Flicker welcomes all interpretations of this word.
We celebrate storytelling that captures human connection, whether through romance, longing, vulnerability, power, desire, trust, or the tensions that challenge and transform us, all within the highest creative and professional standards.
Films can take any form, a dramatic narrative, an animated exploration, a thought-provoking documentary, a playful comedy, or a genre-bending work of sci-fi, fantasy, or suspense. We encourage all formats, including animaiton and digital storytelling, pushing the boundaries of how intimacy is expressed on screen.
We welcome diverse perspectives and voices, LGBTQIA+ stories, cross-cultural expressions of intimacy, and innovative storytelling techniques that redefine how we see closeness on screen.
Why 7 minutes max? The brevity challenges filmmakers to tell compelling, intimate stories with efficiency and creativity. These bite-sized narratives are ideal for engaging audiences while providing a manageable format for emerging talent.
